Displaying of Underground Cable Fault Distance Based on IOT
This project is used to find out the distance of underground cable fault from the base station in Kms & displayed over the Internet. The fault of the cable is a common problem in major urban areas. By using this project we can find out the particular location of the underground cable fault and to transmit data in graphical format to a website together with LCD display using a GSM module.
This project is designed with a set of resistors which represents the length of the cable in kilometers and the fault is made by a set of switches at every km. When the fault occurs at some distance, then the phase & the distance are shown on the LCD display. The related information is sent to a website over internet activated SIM with GSM interfaced to the microcontroller.
IOT based Energy Meter Reading
The main aim of this project is to design an internet of things based energy meter reading displayed in units consumed & cost immediately over the internet in gauge and chart format. This project uses a digital energy meter and its blinking Led signal is interfaced to a 8051 microcontroller through a light dependent resistor. This LED flashes 3200 times for 1 unit. Every time the sensor gives an interrupt and the LED of the energy meter flashes the microcontroller. The reading of the meter is also sent to a GSM modem through RS232 and level shifter IC link. The SIM card used in the GSM modem being internet enabled directly transfers the data to a web page for display everywhere in the world in the multilevel graphical format.
IOT based Remote Monitoring of Transformer or Generator Health
This project is used to attain real time data of distribution transformers remotely over IOT. But in the real time, we use potential transformer and temperature sensor which are used to monitor the V, T, I data of the transformer and we can send them to a remote area everywhere in the world. The 3-analog values are taken in a multiplexing mode, which is connected to a 8051 microcontroller via an 0808 ADC. The values of the sensors are sent serially according to the frequency of multiplexing of the analog to digital converter by the microcontroller, then they are directly sent through a wifi modem under TCP/IP protocol to an IP that shows the data in the form of real time chat in any web connected to a laptop or PC for display in 3 charts. The real time data at the sending end is displayed on an LCD display that is interfaced to the microcontroller.
IOT based Patient’s Body Temperature Monitoring
The main concept of this project is to acquire a patient’s body temperature remotely over IOT. In real time, we use one digital temperature sensor, that is interfaced to microcontroller to send the data to anywhere in the world over the internet.
This data is directly sent through a WiFi modem under TCP/IP protocol to an IP on the cloud through networked wireless modem environment. It shows the data in the form of real time chat like line, bar or pie type in any type of interconnected display device like a PC, laptop for viewing by the public. The real time data also seen at the sending end through an LCD display, which is interfaced to the microcontroller.
Home Automation Under Wi-Fi Using Android Phone
The main aim of this project is to control various electrical loads based on IOT. In the real time we use an Android OS based smart phone with GUI (graphical user interface). The data sent from the android based cell phone upon touch signals are sent via assigned IP fed to it, to any near wireless module which is then received by a Wi-Fi modem interfaced to a microcontroller, under TCP/IP through networked wireless module environment. Relays are driven according to the signal received from the controller to handle electrical loads. The real time data also seen at the transmitting end through an LCD display interfaced with the microcontroller and that displays the status of the loads.
